Uploading Word Templates
Upload your .docx template, verify automated schema detection, fix fragmented Word XML run tags, and validate required placeholder fields.
The Trydoku Composer starts by analyzing your Word template. When you upload a .docx file, our parser scans every document part—including body paragraphs, headers, footers, tables, and footnotes—to identify variables and build an automated schema.
How to Upload Your Template
- Open Trydoku Composer: Go to trydoku.com/composer.
-
Drag & Drop Your File: In the left-hand Template panel, drag your
.docxfile into the dropzone, or click Choose Word Template to select it from your file browser. - Automated Schema Generation: Within milliseconds, Trydoku parses the file and populates the variable schema list showing detected scalar variables, repeating table loops, and conditional flags.
Schema Parsing & Detection Types
{{ client_name }}, {{ address }}
Mapped directly to spreadsheet columns or top-level JSON fields.
{> items }} ... {< items }}
Expands into sub-item tables. Populated by nested spreadsheet data or JSON lists.
{% if show_terms %} ... {% endif %}
Toggled on or off by boolean, 0/1, or string flags.
Resolving Upload Errors
- Unsupported File Format: Ensure your file is a valid Microsoft Word
.docxfile. Legacy.docfiles, RTF documents, or password-protected files must be re-saved as standard.docxbefore uploading. - Unclosed Loop / Condition Tags: If you open a loop with
{> items }}but omit{< items }}, Trydoku will alert you with the exact line and paragraph where the mismatch occurs. - File Size Bounds: Standard template uploads support documents up to 50MB, including embedded high-resolution graphics, headers, and custom branding assets.
